APPLE VALLEY, CA – Assemblyman Thurston “Smitty” Smith issued the following statement on the failure of AB 1400, which would have created a government-run healthcare system.

“I am encouraged that AB 1400 was killed in the Assembly earlier today. This outrageous bill would have created a government-run healthcare system that would eliminate private healthcare plans and require the largest tax increase in California’s history. This is a major win for California’s families, taxpayers, and small businesses.”
