Assembly Bill 699 was vetoed this year – a measure that would have allowed local governments to hide certain financial information from voters.
Specifically‚ it sought to remove existing protections that require tax ballot measures to include in the statement of the measure the amount of money to be raised annually and the rate and duration of the tax to be levied.
