Starting on January 1‚ farmers and ranchers will be allowed to compost livestock on-site‚ making the disposal of carcasses on farms easier in the event of a natural death of livestock. With proper permits and best management practices‚ ranchers can dispose livestock carcasses on their land.
This law gives farmers and ranchers a critical tool to dispose of livestock carcass in an environmentally friendly way.
