Tulare County Peace Memorial – Honoring Deputy Randy Hoppert On Wednesday, our community came together to honor the life and service of Tulare County Sheriffs Office Detective Randy Hoppert at the 2026 Peace Officer Memorial.
Officer Hoppert served our county with valor. He did not just serve our community; he lived for it. He was the kind of deputy who reminded us why we look up to the badge. But more than that, he was a man who lived for the moments after his shift ended. He was a father who saw the world through the eyes of his two children. He was a husband who was building a future with his wife.
Officer Hoppert was a man who chose – every single day – to run toward danger so others could live in peace. That choice – the one law enforcement officers make every day – is something most people will never fully understand. It is not just a job. It is a calling. A commitment. A promise made not just to a community but to strangers.
I thank God, and pray, for the men and women of law enforcement who protect us each and every day!
