Proclaims Tuesday, April 12, 2016, as Equal Pay Day while making inaccurate statements about gender pay disparities in direct contradiction of a U.S. Department of Labor study. Promotes enactment of the Paycheck Fairness Act, which makes employers liable for unlimited punitive damages under the Fair Labor Standards Act for even unintentional pay disparities.
Declares April 17, 2016 as World Hemophilia Day.
Proclaims the month of May 2016 as Bladder Cancer Awareness Month. Calls upon the people of California, interested groups, and affected persons to promote awareness of bladder cancer and to foster understanding of the impact of the disease on patients and their families and caregivers, to take an active role in the fight to end bladder cancer, and to observe Bladder Cancer Awareness Month with appropriate ceremonies and activities.
