After my field investigation into hospice fraud in Los Angeles‚ my Republican colleagues and I demanded answers from Governor Newsom.
What I found was disturbing: 197 hospice care agencies registered and licensed in one dilapidated building‚ empty offices with no ramp for wheelchairs or accessible parking.
Four years ago‚ the State Auditor found hospice fraud and made recommendations for the Governor to prevent fraud. After several extensions‚ the Governor has yet to implement those regulations.
