Declares the month of October 2019 as German American Heritage Month and October 6, 2019, as German American Heritage Day in honor of the multitude of contributions that German Americans have made to make this a better country and state for all people. Calls upon the people of the state to observe the month of October with appropriate ceremonies, programs, and activities.

Recognizes February 1, 2019, as Wear Red Day in California, and urges all citizens to show their support for women and the fight against heart disease by commemorating this day by wearing the color red. Recognizes the month of February 2019 as American Heart Month in order to raise awareness of the importance of the ongoing fight against heart disease and stroke.
Designates the month of November 2019 as Military and Veteran Appreciation Month to honor the sacrifices that have been made by honorable men and women in our nation through their service to this great nation and our great state.
Proclaims February 7, 2019, as Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day in California in order to encourage greater awareness, education, community engagement, and treatment among black communities.
Declares the first Wednesday in February as California Girls and Women in Sports Day to acknowledge and recognize girls and women in sports. Calls upon all teachers, school administrators, community policymakers, and leaders to collaboratively review current policies and practices to ensure equity in sports programs and activities in California.
Recognizes the month of March 2019 as Social Work Month. Commends the California Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers for its role in advancing professional social work and promoting the well-being of the people of California, and also encourages all Californians to take part in March “Elevate Social Work” events throughout California.
Proclaims the month of March 2019 as Women’s History Month and joins with the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls in honoring the contributions of women.
Recognizes March 2, 2019, as Read Across America Day.
Recognizes this year’s Vaisakhi celebration on Sunday, April 14, 2019, and encourages Californians to take part in this joyous day of celebration. Observes Vaisakhi as one of the most significant days for Sikh Americans and Sikh history and in observance of Vaisakhi, expresses the deepest respect for all who observe and celebrate Vaisakhi with South Asian Americans and the Indian diaspora throughout the world on this significant occasion.
Recognizes the week of March 17 through March 23, 2019, as National Surveyors Week.
Designates March 20, 2019, as California Agriculture Day and observes March 14, 2019, as National Agriculture Day. Recognizes and honors all those who work in California agriculture for their dedication and productivity.
Recognizes the month of March 2019 as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. Commends the efforts of the individuals and organizations that have worked diligently to increase the awareness and acceptance of people with developmental disabilities and celebrates and supports the diversity of the human condition, particularly individuals who experience developmental disabilities.
Declares May 6, 2019, through May 10, 2019, as Cinco de Mayo Week. Urges all Californians to join in celebrating Cinco de Mayo, the historic day when the Mexican people defeated the French army at the Batalla de Puebla, and to recognize the Latino noncombatants in California who freely gave their votes and resources to defend free institutions, and the Latinos of California who fought to defend the freedom of the United States in every armed conflict from the Spanish American War to the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Recognizes April 23, 2019, as Schoolbus Driver Day, and commends schoolbus drivers for their continued and excellent services to the youth of the State of California.
Recognizes the importance of the 2020 Decennial Census and supports helping to ensure a complete, fair, and accurate count of all Californians.
