ACR 190: HIV Testing Day

ACR 194: Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Declares September 2016 as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Commits the Legislature to supporting efforts to find cures for, and achieve prevention of, childhood cancer.

ACR 196: California Manufacturing Day

Declares Friday, October 7, 2016, as California Manufacturing Day.

ACR 198: Sun Safety

Encourages teaching sun safety practices to children to enable them to identify the importance of sun safety, practice strategies to protect against the harmful effects of the sun, and understand why and how to stay safe from overexposure to the sun.

ACR 199: Obesity Awareness Month

Proclaims the month of November 2016 and each year thereafter as Obesity Awareness Month in California.

ACR 200: Parent Advocacy Day

Proclaims September 28, 2016, as Parental Advocacy Day in recognition of parental involvement in pupils success. Represents a non-binding attempt to pretend that the Legislature believes in parent involvement, while ignoring legislative attempts to undermine school s efforts to encourage parental involvement such as SB 322 (Leno), which is currently pending on the Assembly Floor.

AJR 7: Veterans: First Businesses

Requests the Congress of the United States to further amend the GI Bill of Rights to make benefits available to veterans for use as start-up capital in the establishment of first businesses.
