Recognizes the year of 2016 as the 50th anniversary of California s community-based developmental services system. Reaffirms the Legislature s commitment to defend, support, and advance the community-based developmental services system.

SCR 99: 28th Annual State Scientist Day

Declares May 18, 2016, as the 28th Annual State Scientist Day.

SCR 103: Teen Dating Violence Awareness And Prevention Month

Proclaims the month of February 2016 as Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month. Calls upon the people of California, including schools, community groups, youth, and families, to observe Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month with programs and activities that raise awareness about the dynamics of teen dating violence and support young people in learning the skills to have safe and healthy relationships.

SCR 105: Pakistani American Day

Proclaims March 23, 2016, as Pakistani American Day.

SCR 108: Rare Disease Day

Proclaims February 29, 2016, and the last day in February in perpetuity, as Rare Disease Day in California.

SCR 112: Arts Education Month

Recognizes the importance of Arts Education in California, and proclaims March 2016 as Arts Education Month.

SCR 114: Aviation Awareness Month

Recognizes the month of April 2016 as Aviation Awareness Month.

SCR 122: Autism Awareness Month

Designates the month of April 2016 as Autism Awareness Month.

SCR 123: Sexual Assault Awareness Month: Denim Day California

Designates the month of April 2016 as Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and recognizes April 27, 2016, as Denim Day California.

SCR 130: Portugal Day

Declares June 10, 2016, as Portugal Day, a day to celebrate Portuguese national heritage.

SCR 131: National Mental Health Awareness Month

Recognizes May 2016 as National Mental Health Awareness Month in California.

SCR 138: State Park Rangers

Recognizes 2016 as the 150-year anniversary of public service and protection of state parks by state park rangers. Encourages the Department of Parks and Recreation, the California State Park Rangers Association, and the California State Parks Anniversary Committee to take all appropriate action to celebrate the 150-year anniversary.

SCR 141: Slavic Heritage Day

Recognizes May 24, 2016, as Slavic Heritage Day.

SCR 153: Maritime Museum Of San Diego: San Salvador Replica

Commemorates the Maritime Museum of San Diego for preserving and teaching the rich history of California by restoring and operating the San Salvador replica.

Recognizes the contributions of the California Conservation Corps on the 40th anniversary of its creation. Supports the continued and steadfast efforts of current corpsmembers in the protection and restoration of California s environment and responding to disasters.

SJR 5: Vietnam: Humanitarian Resettlement

Urges the President and the Vice President of the United States and the United States Congress to reauthorize the Humanitarian Resettlement Program and the Orderly Departure Program to allow disabled veterans of the South Vietnamese Army and their families currently living in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to apply to enter the United States.

SJR 9: The Chronic Kidney Disease Improvement In Research And Treatment Act

Urges the President and Congress to enact the Chronic Kidney Disease Improvement in Research and Treatment Act.

SJR 10: Federal Investment Tax Credit: Solar Energy

Requests the United States Congress extend the federal investment tax credit for solar energy which will otherwise decrease from 30 percent to 10 percent for commercial consumers, and from 30 percent to 0 percent for residential consumers, after December 31, 2016.
