SACRAMENTO – Today, Assemblyman Devon Mathis (R-Visalia) issued the following statement on the DMV’s latest attempt to cover up failures of the Motor Voter program by releasing a critical report late on a Friday afternoon:

“The DMV’s effort to minimize negative news coverage by releasing the results of the Motor Voter audit when nobody’s paying attention confirm what we’ve suspected all along – there is a coordinated effort to cover up the corruption and incompetence that led to more than 100,000 botched voter registrations.

“I’ve got news the DMV shouldn’t forget over the weekend: This isn’t going away.”
