Designates January 27, 2022, as Rose Ann Vuich Recognition Day, in recognition of Senator Rose Ann Vuich as the first woman elected to the California State Senate, to honor Senator Vuich’s service to the Senate, and to appropriately reflect the Senator’s stature and legacy. Celebrates Rose Ann Vuich’s accomplishments.

SCR 65: Teen Dating Violence Awareness And Prevention Month

Proclaims February 2022 as Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month. Increases attention to the challenge of teen dating abuse and potential solutions to it.

SCR 66: Public Health: Eating Disorders

Proclaims February 21-27, 2022, as Eating Disorders Awareness Week in the State of California. Brings attention to the extent and risks of eating disorders.

SCR 68: First Lady Pat Nixon Memorial Highway

Designates a portion of State Route 91 as the First Lady Pat Nixon Memorial Highway.  Honors the life and legacy of a former First Lady of the United States.

SCR 70: The Mario Obledo Building

Designates the East End Complex-Block 171, located at 1501 Capitol Avenue in Sacramento, as the Mario Obledo Building. Requires the Department of General Services (DGS) to erect appropriate plaques and markers showing the designation as the Mario Obledo Building. Seeks to commemorate Mario Obledo’s accomplishments in state government and civil rights. 

SCR 71: Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness Month

Proclaims March 2022 as Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness Month. Encourages increased awareness of traumatic brain injury prevention and care.

SCR 75: Kern County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Phillip Campas Memorial Interchange

Designates an interchange at State Route 65 and State Route 99 in the County of Kern as the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Phillip Campas Memorial Interchange.  Honors the life and sacrifice of a peace officer who was killed in the line of duty.
 

Recognizes March 2022 as Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) Awareness Month. Brings awareness to SUDC and recognizes the efforts of organizations who care for the families grieving the loss of their child to SUDC.

SCR 78: Los Angeles Firefighter Kelly Wong Memorial Highway

Designates a portion of State Route 101 as the Los Angeles Firefighter Kelly Wong Memorial Highway.  Honors the life and sacrifice of a Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter who died in the line of duty.

SCR 79: National Girl Scout Day

Declares March 12, 2022, as National Girl Scout Day. Honors the work of Girl Scouts’ founder, Juliette Gordon Low, and celebrates the organization’s history and accomplishments on their 110th anniversary and the 105th anniversary of their cookies.

SCR 80: Visual And Performing Arts Education Month

Proclaims March 2022 as Visual and Performing Arts Education Month and urges all residents to become interested in and give full support to quality visual and performing arts education programs for children and youth. Celebrates the value of an education in arts.

SCR 81: School Breakfast Week

Proclaims March 7-11, 2022, as School Breakfast Week. Recognizes the importance of school nutrition programs and school nutrition staff in addressing the needs of the state’s pupils. Highlights the importance of school meals for many students.

SCR 83: Women

Proclaims March 6-12, 2022, as Women in Construction Week. Emphasizes a need to encourage more women into the construction industry.

SCR 88: California Wines: Down To Earth Month

Proclaims April as California Wines: Down to Earth Month, in perpetuity, to celebrate the sustainable leadership of California wineries and winegrape growers throughout April. Emphasizes the importance of sustainable viticulture practices.

SCR 89: State Scientists

Recognizes and pays tribute to the dedication and professionalism of the state scientists who work on behalf of all the residents of California. Honors the nearly 3,000 state scientists and their work in the scientific community.
