Past Legislative Successes - Resolutions

Leg Year - 2021-2022

Designates May 2022 as Individuals with Developmental Disabilities Inclusion Month. Encourages California residents to support and be inclusive of those with developmental disabilities and celebrates the state’s progress in public awareness and empowering such individuals to lead a more independent life.

SCR 93: Mosquito Awareness Week

Declares that April 17-23, 2022, be designated as Mosquito Awareness Week. Promotes public awareness of mosquito-borne diseases to (hopefully) minimize the threat within California.

SCR 94: AAPI Day Against Bullying And Hate

Proclaims May 18, 2022, AAPI Day Against Bullying and Hate, in honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and Vincent Chin. Details the amount of bullying facing the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.

SCR 96: Anniversary Of Los Angeles Riots

Recognizes the 30th anniversary of the Los Angeles Riots on April 29, 2022, as a time of building and reflection for the citizens of Los Angeles and the citizens of California. Reflects on the important lessons learned in the 30 years since Los Angeles Riots and the efforts required to end racial division and discrimination.

SCR 97: The Stan Statham Memorial Highway

Designates a portion of State Highway Route 44, near Oak Run in the County of Shasta, as the Stan Statham Memorial Highway.  Honors the life and legacy of a former Republican Assembly Member.

SCR 98: Fortuna Police Officer Raymond Quincy Mills Memorial Highway

Designates a portion of State Highway Route 101 in the City of Fortuna as the Fortuna Police Officer Raymond Quincy Mills Memorial Highway.  Honors the life and sacrifice of a police officer killed in the line of duty in 1967.
 

Declares April 28, 2022, as Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. Recognizes the goals of introducing our daughters and sons to the workplace and commends all participants. Celebrates the 29th anniversary of the Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work program and the benefits of taking our children to the workplace.

SCR 100: National Fentanyl Awareness Day

Designates May 10, 2022, as National Fentanyl Awareness Day. Brings attention to the growing fentanyl crisis.

SCR 101: Latino Veterans Day

Proclaims September 20, 2022, as Latino Veterans Day. Recognizes the historic and continuing contributions of Latino service members.
 

Recognizes May 2022 as National Military Appreciation Month. Honors the men and women who have served in our nation’s military. Celebrates the United States military through National Military Appreciation Month and recognizes military personnel’s sacrifices, outstanding professionalism, and contributions to California and the United States.

SCR 103: Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month

Proclaims May 2022 as Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month. Increases awareness about this rare, incurable disease.
 

Designates May 1-7, 2022 as Compost Awareness Week. Recognizes the benefits of composting.

SCR 105: Arab American Heritage Month

Declares April 2022 as Arab American Heritage Month. Celebrates the many contributions of Arab Americans to California society and honors their accomplishments.
 

Declares that May 2, 2022, is recognized as CASA Appreciation Day in California. Highlights the work that Court Appointed Special Advocate for children (CASA) volunteers do helping foster children.
