ACR 106: Diaper Need Awareness Week

Proclaims the week of September 26, 2016, to October 2, 2016, as Diaper Need Awareness Week. Proclaims a state interest in reducing diaper need, which could be construed as support for other legislation by this author.

ACR 108: Women’s Military History Week

Recognizes Women Warriors by proclaiming the week of March 14, 2016 through March 20, 2016 as Women s Military History Week in California. Encourages Californians to recognize the contributions of women to our military and our freedom, the courageous sacrifice that women have made while serving our country with heroism, and the historic lifting of the ban on women in combat on January 24, 2013.

ACR 109: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Proclaims that Monday, January 18, 2016, be observed as the official memorial of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. s birth and his work in the Civil Rights Movement.

ACR 110: Korean American Day

Proclaims January 13, 2016, as Korean American Day.

ACR 111: Persian New Year

Celebrates March 20, 2016, as the beginning of the Persian New Year and extends best wishes for a peaceful and prosperous Nowrūz to all Californians.

ACR 113: Lunar New Year Celebration

Celebrates February 8, 2016, as the beginning of the Lunar New Year and extends best wishes for a peaceful and prosperous Lunar New Year to all Californians.

ACR 114: Grand Jury Awareness Month

Proclaims the month of March 2016 as Grand Jury Awareness Month in California.

ACR 115: Richard “Dick” Noles Memorial Highway

Designates the portion of State Route 168 from 4090 West Line Street to the junction of United States Highway 395, in the County of Inyo, as the Richard “Dick” Noles Memorial Highway.

ACR 116: National Kidney Month

Proclaims the month of March 2016, and each year thereafter, as National Kidney Month in California. Encourages healthcare providers to engage in aggressive treatment of diabetes and high blood pressure.

ACR 117: Ronald Reagan Day

Declares February 6, 2016, as Ronald Reagan Day.

ACR 118: Black History Month

Recognizes February 2016 as Black History Month, urges all citizens to join in celebrating the accomplishments of African Americans during Black History Month, and encourages the people of California to recognize the many talents, achievements, and community contributions of African Americans.

ACR 119: Physician Anesthesiologist Week

Designates the week of January 31 to February 6, 2016, as Physician Anesthesiologist Week.

ACR 120: Data Trusts: At-Risk Children

Recognizes that the legislature supports the development of safe and secure data sharing between public education, social service, and research entities through the Silicon Valley Regional Data Trust as it pertains specifically to at-risk, foster, homeless, and justice-involved children and youth and their families, in order to better serve, protect, and improve the futures of these Californians.
